Israel Change Tactic on Gaza incursion as UN Brokers Ceasefire

Israel seem to have fluctuated their ways of attacking Gaza.  The Israel military were reportedly shifting their points of target as Israel Palestine war worsened. Apart from targeting media outlets, the military started attacking health facilities.

Israel military revealed that it was targeting Hamas leaders, infrastructure linked to Hamas and the militant group that governs Gaza. The army confirmed the bombing of the homes of both Yahya Sinwar and Muhammad Sinwar, believed to be the head of logistics and manpower for Hamas.

Is Israel out to destroy the entire Hamas? Al Jazeera reported that there are 13 families, not persons, in Hamas that have been completely wiped in the ongoing Israel – Palestine fight. 

UN Security Council Discusses Israel – Palestine Conflict

UN held an open virtual meeting on Sunday to discuss Israel - Palestine confrontation. UN Secretary General Antonio Guteress opened the meeting by describing the clash as “utterly appalling” and called for a ceasefire.

“Israel is killing Palestinians throughout Gaza, one at a time,” Palestine Foreign Affairs Minister - Riad Malki lamented during the UN open virtual meeting where he attended as an Observer on state of Palestine.

The Palestine Foreign Minister called for global intervention to end Israel intrusion. Riad described Israel as an armed thief who had entered Palestinian territory. He further criticized Israel for calling Jerusalem their unified city. 

Israel Ambassador to the UN Gilad Erdan started with the story of a girl who was murdered by the radical jihadist last Wednesday. While holding the slain girl’s photo, he told the UN Security Council that the murder was ensued with numerous rockets directed to Israel.

 Erdan stated that “there is no justification for terror”. He blamed Palestine for attacking civilians. He linked the attack to Hamas ploy to gain political power. The Ambassador to the UN acknowledged Israel’s commitment to upholding the constitution and ruled out any interference on judicial processes.

He stated that Israel government was doing everything possible to reduce civilian casualties. Erdan claimed that Israel targeted terrorists while Hamas targeted civilians. He accused Hamas for using children as human shield.

Jordan Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi described the ongoing Israel Palestine war as a violation of international law. He demanded Israel to protect Jerusalem as well as holy sites and avoid religious confrontation. 

Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry lauded UN Secretary General Antonio Guteress for mediating the peace process. 

US ambassador to UN Linda Thomas-Greenfiled, while appearing before the UN Security Council, revealed how America was committed to the de-escalation of the war. According to the ambassador, United States is devoted to devising ways to eliminate trauma among children who witnessed the fight.

Continued Battle for Jerusalem

As the UN Security Council convened, Israel launched one of the deadliest attacks since the war began. At least 33 people have been killed in Gaza strip by Israeli airstrikes. People were trapped under buildings in Gaza as rescue operations began.

Gaza Health Ministry reported on Sunday that at least 188 Palestinians have been killed, including 81 children in the ongoing war.

Building housing Al Jazeera media network and the Associated Press was bombed by Israel Military on Saturday. Associated Press President shocked and horrified by the premeditated destruction of their working premises.

Amnesty International has demanded the International Criminal Court (ICC) to investigate the bombing of 8 children in Gaza as a war crime.

10 Israelites reportedly killed by rockets, with 150 injured in the ensuing Israel Palestine battle. At least 2,900 rockets have been directed towards Israel since Monday. Hamas launched a new barrage of rockets directed to Israel on Sunday.

Hospital morgues in Gaza are overwhelmed with surging bodies of Israel airstrike victims, media reports inside Gaza reveal.
