Ngatia Recounts how he was rigged out of CJ position in Favor of Martha Koome

Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia has bitterly reacted over the nomination of Martha Koome as the Chief Justice of Kenya. The top lawyer alleged that he was rigged out after the Judicial Service Commission manipulated his scores in favor of the Appellate Judge. “Four commissioners from Mt Kenya reduced my scores yesterday afternoon after they were called by powerful people. Without that intervention I was far ahead of all the other candidates,” Ngatia reportedly complained on Wednesday. JSC has already forwarded the name of Justice Koome to President Uhuru Kenyatta . She will be vetted by parliament before being sworn in as a substantial Chief Justice. If approved, Martha Koome will become Kenya’s first female Chief Justice. Justice Koome will head the judiciary for almost 10 years. Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu is currently holding the position on an acting capacity. Koome is famously known for her passion for women and children rights. Before her appointment to the jud

Fred Ngatia Mellows JSC Panel in CJ interview

Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia might be Kenya’s Chief Justice. The interview started on a calculative cadence, unstiffened tone, as Ngatia was taken to task over his ambition to succeed Maraga . The CJ aspirant demonstrated how he had read broadly – when he recounted his philosophical skills and linked the knowledge he had gained to the legal realm. He told the panel that he restored harmony at the University of Nairobi, when the institution was bedeviled by rampant indiscipline cases.  “I started working with the universities to be able to find a solution on how to deal with the 80,000 students. I came up with a handbook that helped to curb this issue of the perennial problem of indiscipline,” he told JSC. Legal experts read much from the past advocate-client relationship between Deputy Chief Justice Philomena Mwilu and Senior Counsel Fred Ngatia. How Technology Hacked KCPE, KCSE Examination Integrity

Both Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) have lost credibility. The two academic testimonials awarded by the Kenyan National Examination Council (KNEC) lost luster with the advent of social media platforms such as Whatsapp , Telegram and even Facebook. The era when hard work was rewarded is long gone. Social messaging apps have expedited the speed at which exam material is spread, before the official examination date. Instant messaging services widened the scope of material delivery. In 2014 and 2015 there was unprecedented massive exam theft across Kenya, a scenario that led to a major overhaul of the entire examination council and the manner in which exams were administered. The then Cabinet Secretary for Education Prof Jacob Kaimenyi paid the ultimate price, when he was transferred to the less lucrative Ministry of Lands. The no-nonsense, tough looking Matiang’i replaced Kaimenyi at Jogoo House and he singl
