Inside Elon Musk Founded SpaceX Plan to Build a City on Mars

Elon Musk is focused to establish a permanent human presence on the Red Planet. SpaceX launched its third aircrew mission to the International Space Station from the American soil on Friday. In the past, SpaceX has been initiating astronaut flights to low Earth orbit.

SpaceX Founder Elon Musk is delighted about the routine astronaut expeditions to space, and aims to go the extra mile and build a permanent foundation on the moon and ultimately establish a City on Mars. Musk plans to take human species to a multi-planetary space.

Musk who happens to be the richest man on earth and his SpaceX Company are developing a gigantic Starship that will, in future, have the capacity to ferry a hundred passengers to the Red Planet.

“Starship is the key to making life multi-planetary and protecting the light of consciousness. I am accumulating resources to help make life multi-planetary and extend the light of consciousness to the stars,” Musk stated last year.

It’s long since Humans went to the Moon

Musk wondered why it has taken that long for humans to go back to the moon.

“It is been now almost half a century since humans were last on the moon – again, like a big permanently occupied base on the moon. And then build a City on Mars to become a spacefaring civilization, a multi-planet species,” Musk told NASA officials on Friday.

Last week, SpaceX won a $2.9 billion contract from NASA, to aid the space agency take astronauts to the surface of the moon by the year 2024.

What is Starship?

Starship is a massive stainless steel rocket that SpaceX has been developing. The rocket is designed in such a way that it will be fully reusable. The main goal of Starship is to carry people and cargo to the moon and Mars.

According to CNBC, the current Starship prototypes that is being built and tested at Boca Chica, Texas stands at 150 feet tall, which is equivalent to the size of a 15-storeyed building. Each Starship is motorized by three Raptor rocket engines.

Musk estimated the production cost to about $5 billion. He further disclosed that Starship has been mostly funded internally. However, SpaceX hasn’t revealed the up to date amount that has been spent on the project.

SpaceX has conducted various successful test flights, although the last four high-altitude flights ended fatally.

Why Matiang'i comeback threatens Ruto's re-election bid

Former Interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i is a great rival to President William Ruto in his 2027 re-election contest. Matiang'i is set to give Ruto a run for his money, owing to his track record as a cabinet secretary in the previous regime.  Former President Uhuru Kenyatta trusted Matiang'i more than any other cabinet secretary due to his workaholic nature and might be forced to finance his presidential quest.  The former Interior CS is reportedly eyeing the presidential seat on a Jubilee ticket, as alluded by the party's secretary general Jeremiah Kioni. Ruto's dalliance with the doyen of opposition politics and ODM party leader Raila Odinga had complicated the opposition's quest to unseat the sitting Head of State.
