Unraveling the Secrecy behind Israel Palestine Conflict

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a stern warning against Palestine. Netanyahu disclosed on Friday that the ongoing military operation against Palestine militants would endure for “as long as necessary”.

The Prime Minister added that Hamas would pay the ultimate prize, just like any other “terrorist groups”. On its part, Hamas is not willing to surrender. Hamas military spokesman asserted that they were ready to instill Israel’s army “harsh lessons”.

Netanyahu plans to introduce an “administrative detention order” for protesters. The controversial directive would allow officials to detain people for a long time without being charged.

Netanyahu battled critics, after an inconclusive election in March. Attempts to form a coalition to replace Netanyahu were futile following the withdrawal of right-wing leader from the negotiations.

US President Joe Biden has support Israel's move to defend its territory from external militants.

Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called for the cessation of ceasefire and an end to vIolence.

Israel – Palestine conflict has revealed a deep-seated rivalry between the Israelites and their purported terror-nurturing Palestinians. Israel is on course to crush every element endeavoring to promote the Islamic State’s activities.

Gaza Health Ministry announced the death of at least 122 people in Israel air strikes, since Monday. According to reports from Gaza authorities, 31 children are among those who have, so far, lost their lives in the ongoing Israel – Palestine war.

Israel Military continued to bomb Gaza, as Israel – Palestine fight deepened. Israel army continued to intensify strikes that targeted government buildings in Gaza and homes of top ranking Hamas Commanders. Israel army has hit several buildings and rescue operation is underway.

The Israel Military destroyed several Tower Blocks at the Gaza strip. Hamas has threatened to continue with their retaliatory attack. Hamas claimed that it had laid new barrage of 250 rockets directed to Israel, hitting the Ashkelon City.

Mass protest was reported in the occupied West Bank that resulted to the death of 9 Palestinians and injury of more than 400 people. Families decided to take shelter in UN supported schools in North Gaza. Jewish and Palestinian Israelites continued with communal violence. Ugly nasty conflict was witnessed in Jerusalem, as police confronted rioting Palestinian Israelites.

Israel Military claimed that its war planes have attacked 150 underground targets in Northern Gaza. 8 Israel civilians and one soldier lost their lives by rocket attacks from Gaza.

No Israel soldier has entered Gaza, though they claim responsibility for destroying a network of Hamas tunnels referred as “the metro”. However, Israel was quick to react to a confusing official tweet and clarified that there have been no ground intrusion.

What triggered the violence?

The battle between Israel and Palestine was prompted when Israel police collided with Palestinians at a holy hilltop compound in East Jerusalem.

The place is respected by both the Jewish and Muslims. The place hosts Muslims’ Noble Sanctuary dubbed Haram al-Sharif and the Jewish sacred Temple Mount.

Palestinians risked eviction and had demanded for the removal of Israel police from the place and the adjacent mostly occupied Arab district of Sheikh Jarrah. When Israel remained adamant, Palestinian anger spilt when Hamas launched rockets targeting Israel.

The conflict was further powered by Israel’s annual celebration, dubbed Jerusalem Day. The event commemorates the 1967 Middle East War when East Jerusalem was captured. The deep religious beliefs among the Israelites and Palestinians activated the battle for Jerusalem.

East Jerusalem was annexed by Israel in 1980 and considers the whole city as its headquarter. However, this has not been recognized by many countries.

Way Forward for Israel – Palestine Clash

United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres demanded the “immediate de-escalation and cessation of hostilities in Israel and Gaza”. UN Security Council will meet on Sunday to discuss Israel – Palestine conflict. In Gaza, Palestinians are fleeing closer to the Israel border over incursion fears.

The International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague has contemplated over initiating investigations into criminal activities in the ongoing Israel – Palestine battle.

An anonymous source was quoted by BBC World News claiming that there are efforts to negotiate an end of the war.

Pro-Palestine Protest Held in Muslim Dominated Countries

Muslim dominated countries across the globe held pro-Palestine demonstrations. Countries like Kosovo, Jordan, Turkey and Bangladesh showed solidarity with the suffering Palestinians as they waved Palestine flags on Friday.

Similar demonstrations in Paris, France were prohibited over fear concerns that it might grow to violence and attacks on Jewish places of worship.

In Germany, Chancellor Angela Merkel’s spokesperson cautioned that anti-Semitic protests would not be entertained. The anti-Semitic riots was reported several European nations.

How Human Noise Kills Marine Species, as revealed by Scientists

Scientists have warned that the discord of noise made by humans is harming marine species .  A comprehensive assessment revealed that large noise from human activities was as harmful as pollution, overfishing and climate change .  The study that was conducted by the Journal Science exposed how marine animals can hear from far distances than they can see or smell. According to a report published in the Guardian, most of the marine life uses sound to catch prey as well as attracting a mating partner.  Prof Carlos Duarte of King Abdullah University in Saudi Arabia argued that: “Marine animal can only sea up to around 10 meters, smell up to around a hundred meters, but they can hear across the entire ocean basins.” The research concluded that sound “is very important in the marine ecosystems, and noise is pervasive, affecting animals at all levels .” The increasing cacophony in the marine habitat is interfering with how marine animals respond to various survival tactics which

Carbon dioxide to Make Jet Fuel, Study Reveals

Photo Source: twitter.com Aircrafts release a lot of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere which contributes to climate change. A research that was conducted by Science News and reported on December, 22 2020 stated that there was a new iron-based catalyst that has been invented to convert carbon dioxide into jet fuel. It is only a matter of time that carbon dioxide pumped to the atmosphere by planes could be sucked and used to power the same. The air travel’s footprint in carbon emissions could be tremendously curtailed, if the carbon dioxide that is released is recycled to generate fuel. As per Science News reports, Air transport contributes to about 12 percent of the entire transportation carbon-related emissions. Unlike cars, aircrafts cannot carry bigger batteries which can be run on electricity generated from wind or solar panels. The current breakthrough in the conversion of carbon dioxide to fuel involves cheap ingredients such as iron and transformed through a single s

Why Mt Kenya Leaders are wary about Change of Guard

As 2022 succession battle gains momentum in Kenya, leaders drawn from Mt Kenya region have become more concerned of their political future and survival. Mt Kenya region is predominantly occupied by the agikuyu, ameru and aembu communities. The region has produced three out of the four presidents. It boosts about the tyranny of numbers, thus making the region a battle ground for leaders from other region seeking to succeed President Uhuru Kenyatta.  Central alone produced Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta as presidents. The only other Kenyan president drawn out of the region was Daniel Arap Moi.
