Microsoft, NVIDIA, and Anthropic are teaming up to supercharge AI with Claude on Azure. The strategic partnership of the artificial intelligence tech giants will scale up the growing Claude AI model on Microsoft Azure powered by NVIDIA.
This will broaden the accessibility of Claude and the provision of expanded model choice to Azure enterprise customers.
The partnership aims at reducing Microsoft, Nvidia reliance on OpenAI.
Companies are racing against time to build systems that surpass human intelligence.
The companies are going to be customers of each other. Microsoft commits to use Anthropic models as they deploy their infrastructure in return.
Anthropic is the maker of the Claude Chatbot. The investment is a significant realignment in the generative AI sector where competition has scaled up between ChatGPT-maker OpenAI and other rivals including Anthropic.
Google also released its latest Gemini model on Tuesday.
This corperation among AI giants will make Claude the sole frontier model available on the three prominent cloud services.
"Microsoft Foundry customers will be able to access Anthropic’s frontier Claude models including Claude Sonnet 4.5, Claude Opus 4.1, and Claude Haiku 4.5," Microsoft posted on their blog.
Nvidia committed $10B, Microsoft adding $5B and Anthropic agreeing to buy $30B worth of Azure compute.
