Jitters in State House as Trump invites Kalonzo Musyoka to USA

Kalonzo Musyoka, the Wiper Democratic Movement leader and former Vice President of Kenya, has been invited to the United States for a seven-day tour from February 3 to 10.

This strategic diplomatic and political mission aims to strengthen international networks and engage with the Kenyan diaspora ahead of the 2027 general election.

During his visit, Kalonzo will meet senior officials from the U.S. State Department, members of Congress, and representatives of key policy think tanks in Washington, D.C.

He will also deliver a keynote address at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) on "Africa's Democratic Transitions and the Role of the Diaspora".

Additionally, Kalonzo will attend the prestigious National Prayer Breakfast in Washington, D.C., and engage with Kenyan communities in Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware, discussing matters affecting Kenyans abroad, including diaspora participation in Kenyan politics, investment opportunities, and consular services.

Kalonzo is also expected to meet with USA officials associated with President Donald Trump's administration.
