No more Denial as Tanzania Mourns the Death of President John Pombe Magufuli

Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli died while receiving treatment in Dar Es Salaam, Vice President Samia Suluhu has confirmed. It is a sad reality that Tanzania has lost high ranking government officers within a span of two months.
According to reports, Magufuli was admitted after developing heart complications. In a televised proclamation on Wednesday night, Suluhu stated that Magufuli was admitted at the Jakaya Kikwete Cardiac Institute on March 6.
Magufuli, son of a peasant who rose to presidency, died on Wednesday at the age of 61, and the country has declared 14 days of national mourning.
"It is with deep regret that I inform you that today. We lost our brave leader, the president of the Republic of Tanzania, John Pombe Magufuli," Vice President Hassan stated.
Magufuli's death occured days after opposition leader Tundu Lissu fueled speculations of his whereabouts. The fallen Tanzanian leader was criticized when he lifted the ban on Covid-19 sanctions.
He had not been seen in public for weeks and top government officials had denied reports that he was ill.
Kenyans were quick to condole with Tanzania of the death of their president. A number of social media users passed their condolences to Tanzanians for the great loss.
Millicent Omanga wrote on twitter: "I'm gutted by the demise of president of the United Republic of Tanzania H.E John Pombe Magufuli whose death has just been confirmed by the government of Tanzania. So devastating losing a dedicated leader who devoted himself to the service of the poor. Sad. #ripmagufuli"
Kipchumba Murkomen: "Rest In Peace President JP Magufuli. Our prayers are with our friends and neighbors the Tanzanians."
Dennis Okari: "His zealous pursuit of accountability in a reformist government won him, but the denial of Covid19 is most probably the saddest ending to a legacy riddled with the mentionables and the unmentionables. Yote ni vanity #ripmagufuli #Tanzania"

Why Matiang'i comeback threatens Ruto's re-election bid

Former Interior cabinet secretary Dr. Fred Matiang'i is a great rival to President William Ruto in his 2027 re-election contest. Matiang'i is set to give Ruto a run for his money, owing to his track record as a cabinet secretary in the previous regime.  Former President Uhuru Kenyatta trusted Matiang'i more than any other cabinet secretary due to his workaholic nature and might be forced to finance his presidential quest.  The former Interior CS is reportedly eyeing the presidential seat on a Jubilee ticket, as alluded by the party's secretary general Jeremiah Kioni. Why Ruto might lose Kenya's presidential seat in 2027 Ahead of 2022 general elections in Kenya , President William Ruto promised Kenyans heaven on Earth onl...

Public Seal transfer: Inside Ruto's plot to secretly sell State Parastatals

The reason why the Public Seal was allegedly transferred from the Attorney General office to the Chief of Staff in the office of the President of Kenya is yet to be known with quite a number of contradictory remarks. Phode News Hub delved deeper and unearthed imponderable dirty corrupt schemes and conspiracy to privatize State parastatals through illegitimate means.  Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru alleged that the Public Seal is in the custody of the Head of Public Service, Felix Kipatarus Koskei. All commercial engagements and accords will allegedly be sealed by Koskei on behalf of Kenya government. Kenya is glaring at the risks of  being auctioned by a person who lacks the legal knowledge to discern what should be sealed and what should not. According to the Attorney General Act 2012, Section 28 specifically provides that, “The Attorney-General shall have custody of the public seal of the Republic of Kenya." Standard Media exclusively reported that President William Ruto sec...
