He used to imitate President Moi, now he wants to be Kenya’s next President

The guy who used to mimic the second president of Kenya Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi has declared his presidential ambitions. Director of Youth Affairs Walter Mong’are popularly known as Nyambane has expressed his interest to contest for presidency in 2022.

Mong’are gained fame in the late 90’s when he used to imitate the then president of Kenya Daniel Arap Moi. His was among the Redykyulass comedians who used to characterize various top politicians in the country.

While appearing in a Churchill Show dubbed ‘Journey Series’ on Sunday, he revealed his intentions to contest for presidency and added that he was inspired by his comical character as President Moi.

“I used to imitate presidents, and you know, you can act something until you become one. I think I faked it, and I am hopeful to make it someday,” Mongare told comedian Churchill.

He also disclosed the reason why he had to drop his stage name after securing a plum position as the Director of Youth Affairs in 2017.

“It just reminded me that when God needed to bless Abraham, he changed his name first. It is a blessing and I believe it is God who put me here,” he stated.

Speaking about his role as Deputy Director in the Youth Programme, Mong’are stated that he offers vital advisory services to President Uhuru Kenyatta on issues related to the youths.

“I ensure that everything that is put out there targeting the young people has the intended impact. It pains to see the desperation that has been created in our youth. In a country where we enjoy relative stability,” Nyambane said.

Rekindling Redykyulass Memories

Apart from Mong’are, the comedy show also featured Tony Njuguna and John Kiarie AKA KJ. KJ is currently the Dagoretti South MP.

Mong’are acted as the late former president Moi while Tony acted as retired president Mwai Kibaki and John Kiarie played the role of the former powerful cabinet minister the late Joseph Kamotho. Redykyulass was aired on TV in the late ‘90s and early 2000s.

Public Seal transfer: Inside Ruto's plot to secretly sell State Parastatals

The reason why the Public Seal was allegedly transferred from the Attorney General office to the Chief of Staff in the office of the President of Kenya is yet to be known with quite a number of contradictory remarks. Phode News Hub delved deeper and unearthed imponderable dirty corrupt schemes and conspiracy to privatize State parastatals through illegitimate means.  Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru alleged that the Public Seal is in the custody of the Head of Public Service, Felix Kipatarus Koskei. All commercial engagements and accords will allegedly be sealed by Koskei on behalf of Kenya government. Kenya is glaring at the risks of  being auctioned by a person who lacks the legal knowledge to discern what should be sealed and what should not. According to the Attorney General Act 2012, Section 28 specifically provides that, “The Attorney-General shall have custody of the public seal of the Republic of Kenya." Standard Media exclusively reported that President William Ruto sec...
