Kenya government has launched the refurbished E-Citizen Portal that merges all government services and bring them closer to the people

The official government Paybill number is 222222.
E-Citizen was launched in 2014 by the then president Uhuru Kenyatta. President William Ruto launched the refurbished E-Citizen on June 30, 2023 where he closed the many Paybill numbers that were used to pay for government services.
Treasury Cabinet Secretary Njuguna Ndung'u has already gazetted the the online portal.
The government has also established public Wi-Fi points to be used by Kenyans to access government services.
Government portal is set to offer 5000 online services.
Major Services offered by the E-Citizen Platform
NTSA provisional driving license.
Business registration services.
Civil registration services such as marriage certificate.
Police clearance services such as Certificate of Good Conduct.
Kenya Revenue Authority Services such as KRA Pin registration, KRA return filings etc.
Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) services.
Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) services.
Directorate of immigration services.
Foreign Nationals initial registration.
MSMEs such as the Hustler Fund.
E-Citizen operations will also be facilitated by financial institutions offering banking services such as Equity Bank, Cooperative Bank and KCB bank.
Mobile Service Providers such as Safaricom will play a key role in facilitating transactions anchored on E-Citizen platform.
Kenyans will be able to access these services anywhere over the internet.
