Inside Zuckerberg Meta-owned Plans to 'kill' Twitter with Threads App

Meta app Threads gained prominence soon after its launch, with over 10 million users signing up hours after launch.

The entire globe was astounded by the manner in which Threads, which almost resembles Twitter by many descriptions, would have such an overwhelming endorsement across the world.

How Zuckerberg is trying  to eclipse other Social media platforms

Is Zuckerberg turning into a predatory Marxist out to edge others from social media influence?

Mark Zuckerberg copied Instagram stories from WhatsApp and later on bought WhatsApp.

He reportedly copied reels from tiktok, story feature from SnapChat and Instagram music from Spotify.

Finally, Zuckerberg has copied Threads App from Twitter.

Brief History of Threads

"Let’s do this. Welcome to Threads,” Meta Chief Executive Officer, doubling as Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, wrote in his first post on the new social media site.

Threads was launched on Wednesday and will run with no ads for now.

Zuckerberg launched Twitter like App Threads, amid chaotic ownership of Twitter by the world's richest man Elon Musk.

Meta will rival Twitter with a new app. Instagram proclaimed the much awaited launch of its text-based social networking app, Threads.

According to Tech Crunch, "Threads will permit Instagram subscribers to authenticate with their existing credentials in order to post short updates, including text up to 500 characters; links; photos; and videos up to 5 minutes in length."

At the launch, Threads became available on iOS and Android in 100 countries.

However Threads App is not in the European Union, allegedly over concerns around adhering to local data privacy rules.

Threads allow users to sign in with their Instagram details, where their username and verification status will prevail. But Threads profiles can be customized independently according to the desire of the user.

Why Matiang'i comeback threatens Ruto's re-election bid

Google launches portal to flag AI-Generated content

The giant Search Engine Company made the announcement about the launch of the SynthID Detector tool during Google's I/O 2025 developer conference. SynthID Detector is a tool developed to watermark and identify content generated through AI. The detector has the ability to identify AI-generated content across various platforms. Detectable content include text, images, audio and video. Google's DeepMind developed SynthID, a watermarking technology that is directly embedded into the content in contrast to traditional metadata tags. SynthID is a browser-based verification tool that permit users to upload content and receive a probability score revealing if it is AI-generated and watermarked with SynthID. For texts, SynthID adjust patterns and create a digital signature to be detected by AI. For images, the tool subtly modify pixels in a form that is invisible to the human eye. How Gener...
