Sonko gagged from further expose involving Merry Nkatha

Former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko has been prevented from exposing further details regarding recorded conversation between him and Merry Nkatha. "I have just gotten to my residence after a long day of tying up the subsequent episodes being 5B, 5C, 6 A, B and 7; only for my security to notify me that a court order has been served upon me ostensibly gagging further release of the expose," Sonko tweeted. Sonko further stated: "At the moment, I do not wish to involve her any further in regards to providing information that is linked to any and all of these cases that have been floated by virtue of audio and video evidence; and it is my sincere wish that." Sonko was stopped from further expose after Nkatha demanded protection over his threats. She alleged that she was grabbed by heavily armed men. The woman had alleged that he was forced to implicate High Court Judge Said Chitembwe and lawyer Cecil Miller at gun point.

2022 Election Count Down Begins as IEBC unveils New Guidelines

T he Independent Election and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has begun preparations for 2022 general elections in Kenya. This comes in the wake of the appointment of 4 IEBC Commissioners by President Uhuru Kenyatta to replace the election officials who had resigned. IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati held a consultative meeting with the media at Mombasa on Monday where he briefed the nation about his commission’s preparations. Chebukati confided the plans to guide IEBC operations. The election plan has been put on the public domain. The commission chair stated that two-third gender rule will be adhered to.
